Interpreter

Job Title: Interpreter
Location: 100% Remote (Part Time)
Duration: 3 Month Contract
This is part time and fully remote.

MUST SPEAK Haitian/Creole.

Summary: Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak the same language by converting one spoken or written language to another. Translation services support but are not limited to Employment, Training & Orientation, Meetings, Human Resources, Health Services and other operational activities as assigned. This position is project-based and is held to a strict code of confidentiality. Example projects include, written translation, video and phone interpretation, voice recording, translation review and editing. Flexible schedule for weekly project completion. This is a great opportunity for supplementary income.


Requirements:
Education: High school degree or equivalent is preferred Certification in interpreting/translation preferred
Experience: Must be able to pass our translation assessment with an average total score of 90% or higher One year of interpreter/translator experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Communication Skills: Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English and the target language Working knowledge of interpreting/translating best practices preferred, including prioritizing confidentiality at all times
Special Skills: Must be able to work independently, while simultaneously working as part of a team collaboratively and learning new skills.
Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritize deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be proactive and willing to ask for help to understand projects fully and perform at one's highest level Dependable internet connection required Basic Computer and Typing Skills.
