Our organization is seeking a Radiology Technologist to become a part of our Urgent Care team!

In the role of Radiology Technologist, you will engage in both clinical and administrative tasks within our healthcare settings, adhering to established policies and procedures. You will operate under the guidance of a physician, handling patient intake, following standing orders or protocols, performing venipuncture, conducting laboratory tests, and ensuring patient follow-up. Additionally, you will administer medications via oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal routes as directed by a provider, after demonstrating your competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or their designee. Certified Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) who are also Radiologic Technologists will perform and transmit X-ray diagnostic images. This position requires accurate documentation in medical records and supports efficient patient flow.

• Ability to work at various locations within the system, performing all required duties across multiple entities.
• Comply with our organization’s Code of Conduct and Compliance plan; adhere to governmental and accreditation standards, completing all mandatory training, including safety, infection control, OSHA, CPR, EMR, general compliance, harassment, and service. Maintain cleanliness, stock, and sterilize equipment, as well as prepare patient rooms for care delivery. Provide patient care in alignment with policy, prioritizing safety and quality.
• Adopt new technologies and utilize the electronic health record effectively. Manage patient flow through consistent communication with patients and their families, ensuring their comfort and time are respected. Conduct additional testing and care in line with our practices, including spirometry/PFTs, measuring patient vitals and BMI, EKGs, vision and hearing tests, splinting, and general patient care under the supervision of a medical provider. Conduct follow-up calls regarding lab tests, patient experiences, and clinical results in a professional manner.
• Perform venipuncture and selected patient and laboratory tests (point of care); initiate care pathways according to policy. Conduct X-rays as per medical provider orders; send images to the appropriate radiologist for review; maintain X-ray equipment and follow safety protocols. Foster a respectful environment for patients, families, vendors, colleagues, and employers, communicating in a professional manner.
• Deliver care that aligns with our mission, vision, and values, fostering patient confidence and loyalty by exceeding expectations. Act as a patient escort throughout the care process and assist with patient discharge, ensuring clarity for patients and their family members. Support new clinical and service initiatives; actively seek opportunities to enhance care and the patient experience.
• Assist team members during downtime or when patient processing bottlenecks occur. Understand and engage in basic computer and patient intake tasks at the front desk. Support medical providers during patient examinations, testing, and education. Under the supervision of a medical provider, prepare and administer oral medications and injections limited to intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular routes after demonstrating competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or their designee.

• Associate degree.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Externship experience in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in a medical office.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Certification.
• State License from Maryland, Virginia, or DC.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 per hour.
