Location: Port Richey, FL
Schedule: 24/7 Coverage Available | 7 Days a Week
Shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

NurseCore is seeking an experienced LPN or RN to provide one-on-one, in-home skilled nursing care for a 3-year-old pediatric client requiring ventilator, tracheostomy, and G/J-tube care . The ideal candidate is dependable, experienced with medically complex pediatric clients, and comfortable providing specialized nursing care in the home setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in the client's home
• Provide ventilator management and monitoring according to the established plan of care
• Provide tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway management as ordered
• Administer G/J-tube feedings, flushes, and medications as ordered
• Monitor respiratory status, vital signs, and changes in the client's condition
• Maintain infection-control and safety precautions
• Recognize and respond appropriately to respiratory complications and changes in condition
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses
• Communicate changes in the client's condition to the appropriate clinical team
• Follow physician orders, the established plan of care, and NurseCore policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Florida LPN or RN license
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a supervised setting within the past three (3) years
• Ventilator and tracheostomy experience required
• G/J-tube experience required
• Pediatric and/or private duty nursing experience preferred
• Experience caring for medically complex pediatric clients preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Successful completion of required Relias competency and skills assessments
• Valid AHCA Level 2 Background Screening or ability to obtain
• Negative TB screening within the past 1 year or chest X-ray within the past 5 years
• Must be comfortable working in a home with cats
• Ability to work independently while providing safe, high-quality pediatric care
• Reliable transportation
• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements
