Electrical-Mechanical Assembly Technician

Manufacturing Team MemberJoin a hands-on manufacturing team where you will assemble, test, and inspect cord reels, power reels, and hose reels. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mechanical assembly, blueprint reading, and precision work in a fast-paced production environment. In this role, you will work with engineering drawings, pack slips, and verbal or written instructions to build and repair components that meet stock and sales order requirements while ensuring high-quality standards.Duties:Assemble cord reels, power reels, hose reels, and related subassemblies using engineering blueprints, pack slips, and instructionsPerform hand assembly, repair, and component fitting using power tools, hand tools, and production equipmentOperate and utilize equipment such as cable counters, resistance welders, drill presses, pop rivet guns, soldering tools, heat guns, wire strippers, and anvil pressesUse measuring and testing instruments including tape measures, dial calipers, continuity testers, high pot testers, and weight/count scalesRead and interpret engineering drawings and identify standard and metric hardware and componentsSelect, locate, and verify correct parts and materials based on blueprints and pack slipsAccurately count, transport, and stage materials to and from designated work cells while preventing damage or injuryPerform visual and physical inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure quality standards are metConduct first-piece inspection and verify product compliance before continuing production runsComplete in-process and final inspection documentation on work orders, inspection sheets, and pack slipsMaintain proper labeling, identification, stacking, and storage of finished goods for shipment or stockMonitor inventory levels and notify supervision when materials or parts are lowMaintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, tools, and work areasPerform routine maintenance and recordkeeping for tools and equipmentReport defective materials, faulty equipment, improper operations, or unsafe conditions to supervisionFollow all established procedures, safety practices, quality standards, and EHS policiesParticipate in 5S workplace organization and continuous improvement initiativesSupport core values and contribute to team success and productivity goalsPerform other duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical documentsExperience using hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing equipmentStrong attention to detail and accuracy in assembly and inspection workBasic understanding of hardware sizing, measurement systems, and component identificationAbility to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimalsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a production environmentCommitment to safety, quality, and productivity standardsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or GED required1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceCore Competencies:Attention to detail in assembly and product design interpretationProblem solving and continuous improvement mindsetStrong technical aptitude and willingness to learn tools and processesTeamwork and collaboration with production, engineering, and quality teamsCommunication and documentation accuracyDependability, punctuality, and accountabilityAdaptability in a fast-paced production environmentCommitment to safety, quality, and operational excellenceInitiative, professionalism, and strong work ethicProduct knowledge including part identification, bill of materials awareness, and assembly relationshipsDisclaimer: Please note that we are unable to provide job sponsorships, including, but not limited to, visas, corp-to-corp arrangements (C2C), or any other form of sponsorship for employment.
