About the Facility – Evans Army Community Hospital

Evans Army Community Hospital is a state-of-the-art military medical center serving the Fort Carson community, including active-duty service members, retirees, and their families. As part of the Defense Health Agency, Evans ACH delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care across a wide range of specialties including primary care, surgery, radiology, gastroenterology, physical therapy, behavioral health, and women's services. The facility is committed to delivering the highest standard of patient-centered care and offers healthcare professionals a rewarding opportunity to serve those who serve our country.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced MRI scans and procedures in accordance with department protocols and radiologist direction
• Perform venipuncture for IV contrast media injections
• Screen patients for safety concerns and contraindications for MRI exams; report concerns to MRI supervisor or radiologist
• Correctly position patients and make technical adjustments for required examinations
• Process digital images and submit for interpretation by radiologists or teleradiology services
• Perform system calibrations and quality control tasks per manufacturer and facility policy; recognize artifacts and equipment errors
• Observe and report symptoms related to adverse reactions to contrast media; institute emergency measures when needed
• Maintain MRI area cleanliness and infection control compliance
• Initiate repair call procedures for equipment malfunctions; document per department protocol

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of MRI experience in an active clinical environment within the last 5 years. Minimum 1 year of experience working in a high-field MRI scanner environment (1.5T or higher).
• Certifications: BLS required.
• Board Certification: Current ARRT registration as Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARRT-MR).
• Licensure: N/A (non-credentialed position).
• U.S. Citizenship required

Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts, Friday – Monday, 1330–0000. 30-minute uncompensated lunch.
