Warehouse Associate - 1st Shift

Job SummaryAs a Warehouse Associate, you will play an important role in the production of high-quality products by assisting with stocking and organizing materials in our warehouse. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and should have experience operating forklifts. Experience working in below 0° temperatures a plus.Role and ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate and timely completion of required documentation to enable clear traceabilityEnsure Inbound and outbounds loads are handled timely, accurately, and efficiently.Manage ERP system transactions.Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changesPut away stock into designated areas within the warehousePick orders accurately, package them correctly, label them appropriately, then prepare for shipmentOperate material handling equipment such as forklift or pallet jack safely while ensuring proper safety procedures are always followedMaintain cleanliness of the warehouse area including sweeping/ dusting shelves/racks etc.Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environmentsOther duties as assigned by Supervisor/ManagerSKILL REQUIREDExperience with Warehousing, Inventory, and/or Logistics.Experience working in temperature controlled settingsExperience with perishable itemsProven track record in safe working practicesPrevious experience working in food production environments preferred but not requiredAbility to stand for long periods of timeHigh school diploma or GED equivalentForklift certification is desired but not mandatoryDemonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issuesADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Able to interact and communicate with the supervisors and team membersExcellent interpersonal skills needed for working in a team environmentGoal oriented & well organizedAbility to work all scheduled shifts, on timeExcellent attention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skillsTime managementProblem solvingPlanning and organizingMathematical skillsBi-lingual preferredWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTPhysical Demands/EffortsWork requires continuous physical exertion including lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.Mental & Visual DemandsWork performed by this position requires moderate mental concentration to effectively execute moderately complex tasks.Work requires continuous visual effort for extended periods of time.Work Environment and HazardsEmployee works in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to heat/cold, dust, noise or other factors that may require protective equipment and still pose a hazard.Travel is not required for this position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
