The Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases (IMM) is part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston McGovern Medical School. IMM is a translational research institute that investigates the cause of human diseases at the genetic, cellular, and molecular levels. We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Texas Therapeutics Institute (TTI), one of eight research centers within the IMM. The appointment is being posted various levels on the tenure track. The candidate will be expected to play a key role in strengthening an academic drug discovery center with a focus on natural product drug discovery, including but not limited to bioactive natural product isolation, total synthesis of natural products, biosynthetic pathway analysis, biocombinatorial chemistry, and heterologous expression. In addition, TTI has established world-leading expertise and technologies in antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) research, particularly in advanced linker chemistry platforms that enable precise antibody conjugation. Therefore, candidates who can leverage or complement this area are particularly encouraged to apply.
