We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join a transport-focused team in Michigan. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys managing shipment activity, maintaining accurate logistics records, and supporting customers through timely communication. The role works on-site and plays an important part in keeping daily transportation operations organized and responsive. 100% onsite, M-F, 7am-4:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Maintain shipment-related information across customer portals and internal tracking platforms to keep records current and accurate.

• Coordinate day-to-day logistics activity by monitoring load progress, updating status details, and helping ensure smooth shipment execution.

• Communicate with customers and internal teams to provide clear updates, address service questions, and support issue resolution.

• Review transportation information for accuracy and enter updates into computer systems in a timely manner.

• Support shipping and distribution operations through administrative follow-up and general account support tasks.

• Assist with additional operational assignments as needed to help meet departmental priorities and service expectations.

• At least 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related coordination role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, including strong spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a dependable approach to daily responsibilities.
• Prior experience in transportation or freight-related environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable processes is preferred.
• Background in call center or customer service support is preferred.
• Experience using transportation management or logistics software is an advantage.
