Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool

Registered Nurse (RN) Full‑Time, 0.9 FTE, 12‑hour night shifts with $7,500 sign‑on bonus (subject to eligibility). Job Overview UP Health System – Marquette, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a registered nurse to provide high‑quality care and contribute to community health. Nurses in the staffing pool cover med/surg, neuro/ortho/peds, rehab, and cardiac units and can advance to specialty units such as ICU and ED after one year of experience. How You Will Contribute Perform plan‑of‑care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Document patient care provided. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support. Evaluate patient/family learning needs and provide age‑appropriate education. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients. Qualifications Valid Michigan RN license. Associate degree from an accredited nursing school; bachelor’s degree preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS‑HCP) certification.
