Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a skilled and precision-driven CNC Turn Machine Operator in Marietta, GA. In this high-impact night-shift role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC turning centers that manufacture high-performance components for side-by-sides (UTVs) and heavy-duty diesel engines. In a CNC Turn Machine Operator job you'll be responsible for:

• Operating and setting up CNC lathe and turning machines to produce precision parts for side-by-sides and diesel engine assemblies.

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and job routers to ensure exact machining specifications.

• Loading raw materials and bar stock, securing workpieces, and setting appropriate tooling offsets.

• Inspecting finished parts using precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and bore gauges.

• Performing basic machine offsets, tool changes, and routine preventive maintenance to ensure peak equipment performance.

• Monitoring production runs to detect machine malfunctions or tooling wear, making adjustments as needed.

• Maintaining clean, safe, and organized machine stations in compliance with all safety and 5S standards.

What you'll need:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC turning machines (lathes).

• Strong blueprint reading skills and a solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

• Proven experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).

• Background in automotive, powersports, or diesel engine manufacturing preferred.

• Ability to work a 12-hour overnight schedule and stand for extended periods.

• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

• Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00/hour (based on experience)
