As a maintenance technician, you will be part of a small, easy-to-work with team at Beachside I Condo Association within Sandestin. The team ensures that all systems and equipment at the building are operational and properly maintained. Additionally, our team members are attentive and diligently work to ensure that all common areas are maintained in both an aesthetically appealing and disinfected condition. ​

Responsibilities:

• Performs routine walking inspections of floors in order to identify problems and report them to the Maintenance Supervisor and/ or Community Manager.
• Maintains work equipment in good working condition. ​
• Performs maintenance repairs in the common areas such as drywall, minor carpentry repairs, painting small general repairs, clean-up of common areas when needed, and inspecting reported problems and contacting appropriate vendors for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, repairs and work.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work. ​
• While following safety procedures, performs casual labor (e.g., such as moving medium to heavy items, such as pool furniture, luggage carts, maintenance supplies, signage, etc.) as directed by supervisors. ​
• Performs maintenance replacement and repair (when appropriate) in areas of carpentry, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other minor building repairs as long as a permit/ license is NOT required to conduct the job.
• Routine Inspections: Routinely walk floors, including the roof, to check for problems and lights out, and report findings to supervisors.
• Building Staff Relations: Maintain a cooperative working relationship with building staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Work Order Completion: Complete daily work orders as scheduled, ensuring timely and efficient maintenance.
• Skills & Qualifications:
• Punctuality & Reliability. Working alone at times will be required.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.
• Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy when dealing with Owners and Co-workers.
• Possess strong maintenance and repair skills & willingness to learn.

Schedule:

Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Days off Sunday & Monday. (Willing to discuss different days off if necessary).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
• Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions.
• Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers.

Compensation: Base per hour is $22.00 (Negotiable depending on skillset)
