About the Role

Fort Freight is seeking a driven Sales Representative to help expand our customer base and support continued business growth. This position focuses on developing new relationships, identifying transportation opportunities, and converting prospects into long-term customers.

What Your Day Will Look Like: 

• Identify and pursue prospective customers to build a book of business
• Build a consistent pipeline through phone outreach, email, referrals, networking, and other prospecting efforts
• Develop relationships with shippers that foster long-term relationships and growth
  
• Work together with internal operations teams and carrier sales to support service and profitability 
• Negotiate pricing and service terms while supporting business growth
• Maintain accurate prospect, customer, and sales activity within company systems

What We're Looking For:

• 1+ year of sales or business development in transportation, supply chain, or logistics brokerage required. 
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable initiating conversations and conducting outbound prospecting.
• Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented.
• Strong organization and follow-through.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• We prefer this position to be based onsite in our Muskegon, MI office, but we are also open to qualified remote candidates located within Michigan or within reasonable driving distance for occasional in-person collaboration.
