Business Analyst, ERP/Business Applications

Overview

The Business Analyst, ERP/Business Applications role supports and resolves issues related to ERP and business applications, including troubleshooting, usage support, training, and documentation. You will work independently to prioritize and resolve issues, escalating when necessary to meet service level agreements (SLAs). You will serve as the primary functional owner for key applications, with responsibilities expanding as you become more involved with additional systems. There may also be opportunities to lead projects addressing complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

• ERP Support and Maintenance: Serve as the first line of support for all ERP-related issues, focusing on Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations and/or Customer Engagement .
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain department to align ERP solutions with business objectives and manage cost/service levels.
• Maintain detailed documentation for existing and new system processes, including procedures and corrective actions.
• Track all ERP requests, progress, and resolutions using the IT Help Desk system.
• Business Analysis & Optimization: Identify and help implement software and programs that support the business unit's goals, such as financial, quality, and operational efficiency improvements.
• Analyze and document business systems and user needs, including processes, workflows, and program functions.
• Optimize warehouse layouts and inventory levels to improve efficiency and minimize stockouts.
• Ensure all inventory data is accurately recorded and promptly resolve discrepancies.
• Project Management & QA: Define project scope and objectives. Create and maintain project schedules and plans, and report on project progress. Coordinate with business and IT personnel, manage internal resources, and address project-related operational and training impacts.
• Manage application quality assurance, ensuring all tests are documented and that bug reports and change requests are resolved in a timely manner.
• Provide final sign-off for upgrades and patches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Functional Lead Business Analyst or in IT Project Management.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft D365.
• 3+ years of experience supporting major ERP or business application projects.
• 2+ years of experience leading an ERP solution implementation at a company.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
