Position: Senior Business Analyst - Personal Lines
Start Date: 6/15 - 12/31
Type: 6m contract potential extensions/conversion
Location: Wauwatosa, Wisconsin 53226
Pay Rate: $39-$47
Schedule: 8:30-5 Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 remote
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an insurance or insurance-related business
- 2+ years of experience working with APIs in a professional setting
- API lifecycles and the importance of and strategies for managing contract change over time.
- How API capabilities need to fit into larger value chains and function coherently in conjunction with the company’s portals, partners’ applications, and third-party services.
- Relationships among API contracts, specification documents, and sample Request/Response payloads as well as ability to interpret, analyze for consistency/accuracy, and produce these artifacts.
- Strong understanding of underwriting and/or insurance related systems
- Experience working within agile software development environment

Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze current systems and gather requirements from internal stakeholders and external partners to support business objectives
- Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical teams to define solutions and document user stories and requirements
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment
- Support API analysis and integration efforts with external partners
- Develop and review test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria to ensure quality delivery
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis to support requirements gathering and defect resolution
- Identify, triage, and help resolve system defects impacting functionality
- Provide functional guidance to development teams and contribute to solution design
- Assist with testing, technical documentation, and training materials
- Advise stakeholders on system capabilities and recommend solutions to achieve business outcomes
