Genesis is hiring skilled Marine Electrician (Journeyman Level) to join our team and help power the vessels that keep operations moving. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision work, understands complex electrical systems, and can perform in fast-paced shipyard or marine environments.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on marine vessels, including generators, transformers, switchboards, and control systems. You’ll read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot faults, and ensure all work meets NEC, NFPA, and marine safety standards. You’ll also work closely with engineers, welders, and other trades to complete projects safely, on time, and to spec.

We’re looking for someone with Journeyman Electrician certification (preferred) and solid experience in marine, shipyard, or heavy industrial electrical work. You should have strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to read technical drawings, and be comfortable working in physically demanding conditions such as confined spaces, heights, and active job sites. Experience with military or government vessel projects, or companies like Northrop Grumman, is a plus, as is welding or fabrication experience and OSHA safety certifications.
