Details Work in a 49-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital unit Patient population includes adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation with high acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions Patient ratio of 1:7 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM Every other weekend and holiday rotation required On-call requirements apply Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards Uses vital sign machines, EKG machines, and blood glucose monitors Charts using Epic EHR Floating not currently required but may be needed to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes in the future Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment required Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred 2 years of overall nursing experience preferred Additional Information Assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed to ensure patient safety Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit at times due to high patient acuity Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty programs 30-minute unpaid break required each shift along with two paid 15-minute breaks during a 12-hour shift Staff must clock out on time unless approved by the house supervisor to stay later Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible Local candidates will not be accepted Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time American Traveler Job ID P-767591.
