Certs: ASCP certification HT or HTL
Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: Microtomy, Embedding, Ability to perform Re-cuts are all needed skills, Troubleshooting difficult blocks, Detail orientation, Ability to work in a high volume histology lab and maintain case integrity. Ascp, Special Stains, Tissue Specimens, Cell Cultures, Microscopic Exams, Routine Histology, Clia, IHC, Frozen Sections, Routine Maintenance, Microtome, Surgical Pathology, Technical procedures, Immunofluorescence, Hematoxylin, others? (Please specify)
What is your EMR system?: EPIC Beaker
Shifts & Scheduling: 8 hour shifts; Start times vary; Histology closes at 22:30.
Weekend Requirements: No
Holiday Requirements: No
Call or Standby Call Requirement: No
Scrub Color/Dress Code: There is no requirement for color.
Department Specific Orientation: Travelers are with the trainer on a daily basis. They are not alone.
