Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Medical Surgical RN to provide compassionate patient care on a busy medical stroke unit. This role requires strong clinical expertise and adherence to certification standards to support patient recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical surgical unit, focusing on stroke-related cases.
• Monitor patient vital signs, neurological status, and response to treatments, ensuring timely documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with NIHSS certification requirements and hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and stroke prevention strategies.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license and current state nursing certification.
• Hold NIHSS certification and demonstrate competency in stroke assessment protocols.
• Have at least 1-2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Exhibit strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Maintain a commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.
