Job Description

An established visual communications and printing company is seeking a  Digital Press Operator to operate digital printing equipment while maintaining production, quality, and safety standards. In this role, you will set up and run digital print jobs, monitor output for defects, perform routine equipment maintenance, and accurately document production activity. This position requires strong attention to detail, basic math and measurement skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment. Candidates with previous print industry or ERP system experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Operate digital printing equipment and supporting software to complete production jobs accurately and on schedule
• Monitor print output throughout production runs to maintain quality standards and identify defects
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting to maintain optimal operating conditions
• Verify required materials are available and accurately document labor and materials used for each job
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established pressroom safety procedures

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Mac and Windows operating systems
• Ability to follow documented procedures and understand written and verbal instructions
• Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring equipment and perform basic math, including fractions
• Ability to stand and walk frequently and perform repetitive reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to visually inspect printed materials for defects and distinguish colors
• Must demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive approach to workplace safety
• Must be comfortable working around chemicals used in the production environment
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Preferred: Previous print industry experience and experience using an ERP system

The base pay range for this position is $20–$28 per hour , excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
