Senior Tax Specialist

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Tax Specialist to join their team! This is a strong direct hire opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys variety, ownership, and client-facing work. In this role, you’ll support a respected accounting team by preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, solving technical tax questions, and helping junior staff deliver high-quality work. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns Research complex tax issues and determine proper treatment Support junior staff with tax questions and guidance Communicate with clients about missing items and follow-up needs Maintain accurate workpapers and engagement documentation Manage multiple tax engagements and meet deadlines Stay current on federal and state tax law changes Assist with special tax projects as needed Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field 3-5+ years of public accounting tax experience Strong technical knowledge of tax compliance and planning Experience preparing and reviewing multiple return types Proficiency with Lacerte tax software Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online Excellent analytical and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Nice to Have Skills & Experience: CPA or CPA-eligible status Experience with SmartVault document management Familiarity with Podio workflow management Prior experience supporting junior team members Exposure to busy-season tax workflow management Cell phone reimbursement of $75 per month Medical insurance fully paid by the employer Gym membership support up to $450 annually 401(k) match up to 4% Yearly bonuses Private office space Work-from-home Fridays after 90 days, three times monthly Other Information: Busy season overtime is expected Collaborative, team-oriented culture Opportunity for long-term growth Company address: Edmond, OK 73034 Our client unable to provide sponsorship at this time.
