Human Resources Assistant

Schedule: Monday-Friday [8:30 AM - 5:30 PM] Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team at our headquarters location in Beachwood, OH. In this vital role, you will support various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and HRIS management. Your energetic approach will help foster a positive workplace environment while ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational policies. Key Responsibilities Assist with talent acquisition efforts by sourcing candidates through ATS (Applicant Tracking System) tools such as Indeed Coordinate employee orientation sessions and facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires Support employee evaluation and performance management initiatives by gathering data and maintaining accurate records Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, workers' compensation, and leave policies such as FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) Maintain HRIS systems like Paylocity to ensure data accuracy and streamline workforce management processes Handle data collection and entry related to employee records, contracts, and compliance documentation Contribute to HR projects such as affirmative action planning, succession planning, and organization design initiatives May be asked on occasion to assist at neighboring Cleveland Dental Institute locations Required Qualifications 1 year of experience required Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles within HR environments Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures Familiarity with HR sourcing strategies and applicant tracking systems Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle conflict management effectively Proficiency in HRIS platforms; experience with payroll systems like Paylocity is a plus Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using project management tools Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills and organizational abilities Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred Successful completion of a background check is required Health insurance Vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid Time Off (PTO) Federal holidays off Promotion from within and career advancement opportunities Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the office for extended periods Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds Ability to perform repetitive motions, including hand and wrist movements Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively to perform job duties safely Join us to make a meaningful impact on our team’s growth while advancing your career in human resources!
