Capex Sourcing SpecialistLocation: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional early morning or evening meetings to support global stakeholdersIndustry: Manufacturing / IndustrialAbout the RoleOur growing Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Sourcing organization is seeking a highly motivated CAPEX Sourcing Specialist to support strategic capital projects across global operations. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Project Management teams to source equipment, services, construction support, and other capital investments that drive business growth.The ideal candidate is an analytical, results-oriented procurement professional with experience managing RFQs, supplier communications, sourcing initiatives, and cross-functional projects. This position offers an opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale capital projects while developing expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage sourcing and procurement activities supporting CAPEX projects and capital investments.Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.Evaluate supplier proposals, pricing structures, and commercial terms to support sourcing recommendations.Assist with contract negotiations and supplier discussions to achieve favorable commercial outcomes.Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Project teams to align procurement strategies with project objectives.Coordinate supplier communications and support bid evaluation and supplier selection processes.Track procurement milestones, supplier deliverables, project timelines, and sourcing activities.Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, responsiveness, and project success.Support total cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation.Maintain sourcing documentation, project records, and procurement data within ERP systems.Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance sourcing effectiveness and efficiency.Support category management and strategic sourcing initiatives as the CAPEX sourcing organization continues to grow.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, or a related field preferred.1-3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, or indirect procurement.Experience managing RFQs, supplier communications, sourcing projects, or purchasing initiatives.Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.Experience working within an ERP system.Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and work independently in a dynamic environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting CAPEX, capital equipment, facilities, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based sourcing initiatives.Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, chemical, engineering, or operational environments.Experience conducting supplier evaluations, bid analysis, contract negotiations, and total cost analysis.Understanding of cost drivers, pricing structures, and total cost of ownership (TCO) concepts.Familiarity with procurement systems, sourcing platforms, ERP systems, S&OP processes, or payment systems.Additional language skills, particularly Spanish, are a plus.Experience Level: Early Career to Mid-Level (1-3+ Years)Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)Travel: Minimal, as needed for supplier or project support activities.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.78/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
