We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our team on an effort supporting our Federal Government Client in Washington, D.C. Position Overview: Top Secret Clearance is required. Create security guides (i.e. Educational material and step by step PowerPoint slides). Security monitoring and evaluation, including audits, assessment, and risk management (Splunk, Kibana/ElasticSearch). Security awareness, training, incident response and management (i.e. POA&Ms). Active collaboration with technical leads, developers and the client to ensure your system is within FISMA compliance. Provide security artifacts to ensure your systems security control have proper evidence. Review system security audit logs and take corrective action as needed. Ensure all technical security diagrams are updated.

Requirements Required: TOP SECERET CLEARANCE, WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN SCI 7-10 years of relevant experience Experience with MS Office products (Excel a must) Understand of the cloud systems (AWS/Azure) Desire to learn (must) Desired Skills: Linux (RHEL7/8) and Windows Operating System Working in an Agile environment (Sprints/Jira/Kanban Boards) Experience creating and validating evidence for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Security Controls Familiar with a log management tool. (Elk Stack, Splunk) Overall Desire to learn and create processes to improve the overall security of the environment, not everything will have instructions, you will be a frontier.
