Experienced Medical Payment Poster

Description Purpose: Post incoming patient and insurance payments accurately according to the Explanation of Benefits or documentation received to support the payment. Accurately post payments and adjustments both electronically and manually Balances batches and runs transaction reports Maintain accurate medical billing records, and document revenue from patient payments and insurance reimbursements Apply insurance payments according to specific dates and procedures according to the EOB Apply patient payments Balance and complete daily worksheets Work on special projects set by supervisor Work with management to research reimbursement and billing issues Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload Consistently report to work on time and be prepared to perform duties of the position Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required Computer skills required to operate practice management system (Intergy) Candidates must be able to work with a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills Minimum of two years of medical billing experience required This job is located in Fort Myers, FL and requires the successful candidate to work in office #J-18808-Ljbffr
