Pediatrician Specializing in Child Abuse

RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, and Metropolitan Regional Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Newark, NJ are seeking a BC/BE full-time Pediatrician specializing in Child Abuse in Newark, New Jersey.

This opportunity is a chance to join a busy, well-established practice and work with a team of experienced pediatricians. The ideal candidate will provide patient consultations, comprehensive medical evaluations, provide teaching sessions to pediatric staff and medical students, and have a passion for continued education and research in the areas of child maltreatment. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious physician to join a high-volume practice and receive experience and guidance not available elsewhere and help grow our rapidly expanding services in northern New Jersey.

Responsibilities include comprehensive medical evaluations and or chart reviews for child victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect. In hospital consultations, which may include visits with the child victim. Participation in our ongoing commitment to education and research. Provide teachings through didact sessions to pediatric house staff, medical students, mental health clinicians, social workers and law enforcement, if the opportunities arise.

Requirements include BC/BE in Pediatrics, experience in Child Abuse and Maltreatment & General Pediatrics, NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ.

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $200,000 to $300,000 per year. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
