At WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, we recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset and we seek to identify, attract and recruit the most qualified talent while recognizing and encouraging the value of diversity in the global workplace.About the role: LEU+ Safety Liaison is located in Columbia, SC.Key Responsibilities:Health & SafetySupport compliance with project safety requirements, OSHA, and applicable standardsConduct site inspections, audits, and daily walkdowns to identify hazardsParticipate in hazard assessments and verify work controlsInvestigate incidents and recommend corrective actionsCommunicate safety concerns and support continuous improvementStrengthen proper PPE use and safe work practicesMaintain safety records and documentationSupport safety meetings, orientations, and field coachingEnvironmentalSupport environmental compliance, including waste management and stormwater (SWPPP)Perform field walkdowns to identify environmental risksHelp with inspections, documentation, and corrective actionsSupport spill prevention, response, and reportingMaintain environmental records for audits and compliancePermittingSupport permit tracking, compliance, and documentationHelp with regulatory inspections and agency coordinationCommunicate permit requirements and identify potential risksQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred5 years of experience in construction safety or EH&S field environmentsKnowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and safe work practicesFamiliarity with environmental compliance and permitting processesOSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)Documentation skillsIdentify risks and support corrective actions in a field setting3+ years of experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments3+ years of experience working with subcontractors in construction settingsBackground in mechanical, piping, HVAC, or fabrication.Our Safety Pledge to You:If you are as committed to your success as we are committed to your safety, then this is the position for you!
