Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Nights 1800-0600, 24 hours per week. Weekends and holidays will be required. Overtime optional after 40 hours.

Assignment Details

Minimum of two years of experience is required.

Requirements

• Current, active license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS and NRP required; PALS preferred.
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitor patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
• Promote wellness for mothers before and after delivery through education.
• Educate mothers about infant care.
• Document patient interactions and education in medical records.
• Communicate patient condition to the physician and nursing supervisor.
• Assist in maintaining skills and learning new procedures with other staff.
• Collaborate with nursery nurse in the care of mother/baby couplets.
• Assist physicians with procedures and other emergencies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all patients.
