Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Labor & Delivery unit located in San Luis Obispo, California. This leadership role involves supervising and collaborating with the nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care within a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Trauma Center. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, staff management, quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: San Luis Obispo, California
• Shift: Rotating schedule, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 0500 to 1700, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and related experience; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; AHA-BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; five years of technical experience; supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
• Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in nursing or a related field; clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification; trauma care experience, with two or more years of charge or lead experience
• Additional Information: This role involves unit-based leadership in a trauma center setting, with responsibilities including staff supervision, quality improvement, patient safety compliance, and operational management. Experience with trauma is preferred, and there is no on-call requirement.
