Hinds Hospice
The Hinds Hospice Home provides 24-hour care in a home setting to manage pain and symptoms that are too medically complex for the patient's home caregivers.
We are seeking friendly folks to help create a welcoming environment for the family and friends visiting one of the patients in the Home. Some of the duties include answering the door and phone, maintaining refreshments, attending to the needs of visitors, some light housekeeping, and more.
The Home is open seven days a week, and there are three volunteer shifts each day: Mornings 8:30 am-12:30 pm , Afternoons 12:30 pm-5:00 pm , and Evenings 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm . You can volunteer for a regular schedule (usually weekly or bi-weekly) or fill in open shifts.
We are currently looking for people with the availability as follows:
- Wednesdays 8:30am-12:30pm (biweekly)
- Thursdays 8:30am-12:30pm (weekly or biweekly)
- Saturdays 12:30-5pm (weekly or biweekly)
- Sundays 8:30am-12:30pm or 12:30-5pm (weekly or biweekly)
