Purchasing AgentPremier Project Management provides design, procurement, engineering development and project management services to hotels. This includes implementing the majority of capital improvements for properties owned by Ashford Hospitality Trust and other hotel and multi-family ownership groups. As a Purchasing Agent, you will assist with supply chain management and implementation of purchasing objectives. The role supports the development and ongoing management of assets comprised of Hospitality and Multi-Family residential developments. Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement, the role supports in-house design, design consultants. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for bidding, purchasing, and expediting major projects as assigned so that all FF&E is available at the construction start date.Responsibilities:Responsible for obtaining FF&E quotations, warehousing and installation bids for items as specified by the approved project budget.Responsible for negotiating price, lead-time and payment terms.Responsible for obtaining scoped/specified items within budget.Responsible for cost analysis, purchasing and delivery of all products within an approved budget.Management of an effective project purchasing process to ensure that requirements are procured and delivered within required time lines.Effectively manage multiple complex projects with limited supervision.Process all requisitions and purchase orders.Responsible for processing deposits, pro-forma invoices and payments for Net 30 invoice by documenting FF&E receipts.Responsible for managing and issuing weekly 'Expediting Reports'.Initiate change orders to purchase orders, generate purchase orders for property level commitments as part of Capital Purchase Plans and other FF&E projects, as required.Responsible for coordinating shop drawings, submittals and finish approvals with designer and manufacturersHandle and resolve vendor disputesCoordinate buyout and deliveries with Project Manager based on renovation/construction schedulesResponsible for project procurement management and budget close outOther duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma RequiredBA or BS preferredAt least 3 years purchasing experience, preferably in the hospitality industryProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel - Spitfire a plusStrong oral and written communications skills required, presentation skills desirableExceptional customer service skills and follow throughAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, to work independently and as part of a teamCompensation & Benefits:Base Salary: Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and market alignmentBonus: Eligible for annual bonusHealth Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement: 401(k) with company matchTime Off: Paid vacation, holidays, and personal daysPerks: Discounted hotel stays across the portfolioGrowth: Career development and advancement opportunitiesCulture: People-first environment focused on excellence and innovationJob Type: Individual Contributor, Full-Time, PermanentOffice location: 14185 Dallas Parkway, Suite 1400 Dallas, TX 75254Work Type: Onsite with Hybrid work schedule OR 100% RemoteRemote Option: For the right candidate we are open to consider 100% RemoteHybrid Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.Tuesday, Wednesday - Onsite / In OfficeMondays, Thursday & Fridays -Work from home / remoteTravel: Up to 5% travel for meetings and market-related activitiesPhysical Requirements (In-Office Role)Ability to work in a standard office environment.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
