A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SALES CONSULTANT / AUTO SALES REPRESENTATIVE You will sell and lease new and used vehicles, greet customers with a friendly demeanor, fully explain vehicle features, and present financing and leasing alternatives. You will prepare and submit all paperwork, ready vehicles for delivery, follow up with prospects, and stay current on automotive industry knowledge. Your ethical and honest approach will help build repeat business and positive referrals, driving volume, gross profit and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE SALES CONSULTANT

High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Acceptable driving record Basic computer skills Ability to quickly learn and remember the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales Ability to understand equity and values, as well as explain depreciation to customers Sales ability Any sales experience would be helpful, especially at higher‑volume dealerships. You should be customer‑oriented, goal‑oriented, professional in appearance and demeanor, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

WORK SCHEDULE

The schedule for this full‑time position varies with business needs. You will work approximately 40+ hours over 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays.
