Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring SC or compact RN license and 1-year EPIC EMR experience.

Details

• > iac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for cardiovascular patients including those with heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac intervention needs
• Provides continuous EKG and oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry
• Administers IV and oral cardiac medications and manages cardiac drips (no titration)
• Prepares and coordinates patients for cardiac interventions, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures
• Uses Omnicell medication system and EPIC EMR
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses required based on census needs

Requirements

• SA
• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in cardiac telemetry required
• First-time travelers require 3 years of specialty experience
• 1-year minimum EPIC EMR experience required
• Trauma Level I hospital experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required

Additional Information

• Provide holistic nursing care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families
• Collaborate with care teams to manage inpatient care and coordinate post-hospitalization services for heart failure patients
• Orientation occurs weekly
• Pre-assignment testing and required modules must be completed shortly after receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers may be considered with required specialty experience
