Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to support our engineering and design teams by creating accurate technical drawings, layouts, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD software, strong drafting skills, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to bring designs from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
- Create and revise detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and Navisworks.
- Review and interpret blueprints, sketches, specifications, and engineering documents.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and team members to understand project requirements and design specifications.
- Modify drawings based on design updates, engineering calculations, and project changes.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Assist with preparation of project documentation, including bills of materials and construction specifications.
- Maintain organized project files and support timely completion of assigned projects.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve drafting questions and design challenges.
Qualifications
- Experience with CAD drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and/or Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of drafting principles, mechanical design concepts, and technical documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree, certification, or technical training in drafting, engineering technology, architecture, or a related field.
- Experience supporting mechanical, construction, manufacturing, civil, or architectural projects.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and BIM design processes.
