Recruiter

A privately held residential rental housing company is hiring a Recruiter. You'll run full-cycle recruiting for a multi-state portfolio of communities, hiring the people who lease, maintain and manage them.

This is a high-volume, hands-on role. Our recruiters carry about 15 open requisitions at a time. You'll own your portfolio end to end: sourcing, screening, interviews, offers and the handoff to onboarding.

What you'll do

• Run full-cycle recruiting for a portfolio of communities across several states. Most roles are service technicians, leasing professionals, and community and assistant community managers, plus home office positions.
• Source actively. Review applications in our ATS, search resumes on job boards, and reach out to candidates directly. Passive sourcing is most of how these roles get filled.
• Conduct phone screens, then schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers in the field. Our recruiters run several hundred phone screens a year each.
• Use structured interview guides and scorecards built on the STAR method, and administer skills assessments for technical roles.
• Manage pre-employment steps: offer letters, background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle checks for driving roles.
• Hand off cleanly to HRIS and payroll so new hires are set up and ready on day one.
• Support seasonal hiring twice a year, before the summer and winter seasons.
• Partner with regional and community managers on intake meetings, interview feedback and offer decisions.

What we're looking for

• Three or more years of full-cycle recruiting, Property management, hospitality, retail, skilled trades or healthcare backgrounds all translate well.
• Comfortable carrying 15 or more open requisitions at once and prioritizing without dropping candidates.
• Strong sourcing skills on job boards and through referrals, not just posting and waiting.
• Experience with an applicant tracking system. Ours is ADP, and we'll train you on it.
• Clear, fast communication with hiring managers who are running properties, not sitting at desks.
• Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent recruiting experience is fine.

Nice to have

• Multi-state hiring, including seasonal or temporary workforces.
• Experience building interview guides, scorecards or hiring manager training.
• Maintenance or skilled trades hiring, especially HVAC-certified technicians.
• Previous ADP experience.
