Inventory Control Coordinator

The inventory control coordinator position manages inventory through database and maintains levels required on a daily basis to meet distribution demands. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels by conducting routine cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting overall inventory control efforts. This role ensures proper material flow and availability for production while adhering to company policies and quality standards in a light industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels of stock parts, forecast their usage, and place orders to maintain sufficient inventory to meet customer demands
• Communicate with other branches to request inventory transfers and manage incoming requests.
• Coordinate daily cycle counts and troubleshoot quantity discrepancies
• Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database.
• Receive and issue finished goods into computer database.
• Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and aged inventory.
• Prepare and lead the semiannual physical inventory.
• Complete other purchasing and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, materials handling, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Strong computer skills, including intermediate level functions within Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
• Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in inventory control or supply chain preferred.
