Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during each exam, communicating procedures with clear, compassionate explanations
• Work in close partnership with radiologists and referring practitioners to deliver top-notch diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, swiftly reporting any technical issues
• Thoroughly document procedures and manage patient information within the electronic medical record system
• Keep abreast of advances in ultrasound techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
