Job Summary:
The Springfield, Illinois facility is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (ICU OH RN) for a position within the cardiac intensive care unit. This role involves providing specialized critical care for adult patients with cardiovascular conditions, including post-surgical cardiac care and management of complex cardiac devices. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois licensure on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Springfield, Illinois
• Shift: 3x12 Hour Days, with every third weekend working
• Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with previous charge nurse experience preferred; Cerner charting system experience; experience managing Ports, Arterial lines, Chest Tubes, Central lines, PICC lines, and ventilated patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Past experience in Neuro Intensive Care Units, Neuro, and Post Cardiac Surgery units; familiarity with Impella devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps, CVVHD/CRRT, and TAVR procedures.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be comfortable floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliates as needed; compliance with vaccination policies, including the flu vaccine, is required. Submission must include 2-3 interview times; SSN and DOB are required at submission. All certifications must be current; certificates from AHA or Red Cross only.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, working days only, every third weekend.
• Travel and Float: Floating within hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals is mandatory for all travelers.
