Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is now open for a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or SLP-CF at a high school program specifically designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. Key Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Holds current, valid credentials according to state requirements for SLPA or SLP-CF
• Demonstrated experience working in school settings, preferably with high school-aged students
• Strong proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, with ability to implement and adapt tools to individual student needs
• Passion for working with students on the autism spectrum or those with diverse learning profiles
• Professional, collaborative approach and excellent interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language services to students as defined in IEPs and program plans
• Implement AAC interventions and ensure devices are accessible, functional, and appropriately utilized
• Work closely with supervising SLPs, interdisciplinary teams, and classroom staff to maximize student engagement
• Document progress, adapt goals, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Provide support, resources, and training regarding AAC and communication strategies to students, families, and school staff
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that builds student independence and confidence

This contract offers a consistent weekday schedule (32.5 hours/week) from late August 2026 to late June 2027, working mainly in a high school Compass Program in a collaborative, supportive setting.
