Product Manager

Akia is AI agents for hospitality. We sell to hotel groups and large vacation rental managers, and over the last year we rebuilt our entire product around AI agents. Our customers use Akia to automate guest communication, check‑ins, voice, and increasingly the operational work that used to require dedicated teams. This is the role that owns what those agents actually do. What you’ll do You’ll own product end‑to‑end across our agent skills. Each skill replaces a real budget line in our customers' P&L — phone systems, marketing agencies, ops headcount. Your job is to figure out what to build, ship it, and make sure it actually moves the numbers — both ours and theirs. Ship the next generation of agent skills from pilot to GA. Own attach rate as a metric. Customers buy one skill first; expansion to additional skills is the growth engine. Every new skill needs a clear path from pilot to GA to broad adoption. Shape what comes next. Several skills are still on the roadmap — you'll define them. Run discovery directly with mid‑market and enterprise hoteliers. We sell to Reservations Managers, GMs, COOs, Directors of Marketing. You'll talk to them weekly. Work with our CTO on the platform layer that all skills run on. Who you are You've been a PM for at least 5 years and you've shipped real products to real customers — meaning you've owned discovery, prioritization, scoping, and rollout, not just managed a backlog. You're interested in AI agents and LLMs — the field, the technology, where it's going. We don't expect you to have shipped agentic products before (almost no one has). We do expect you to have opinions about what's possible, what's hype, and what the next 12 months looks like for products built on this stack. You like vertical software. The people who succeed at Akia have a real curiosity about how hotels work — operations, the legacy systems, what front desk teams actually do all day. If you've never thought about hospitality before but find yourself genuinely interested when we walk you through it, that's the right signal. If you'd rather work on horizontal infrastructure, this isn't the role. You're comfortable being the only PM. We have engineers, a CS team, and customers who tell us what they need. You'll be the person who synthesizes all of that into shipped product. No second PM to lean on, no product ops, no roadmap committee. Most decisions go through you. You ship fast.
