What if part of your week as a physical therapist wasn't spent working in a traditional clinical setting?

In this unique role at Spooner, you'll practice in two very different environments: as part of an outpatient orthopedic team in a Spooner clinic and onsite with a local employer, where you'll become a trusted movement expert for an entire workforce.

At the employer site, you're embedded in the environment where people actually work. You'll have the opportunity to understand the physical demands of their jobs, identify musculoskeletal concerns early, help employees address issues before they become bigger problems, and build relationships across the organization.

Then you'll bring that experience back to the clinic, where you'll continue treating a diverse orthopedic patient population alongside an experienced team of physical therapists.

Two Settings. Two Different Ways to Make an Impact.

At the Employer Worksite

You'll become a trusted musculoskeletal resource for employees and organizational leaders.

You'll:

• Build relationships with employees in their actual work environment.
• Help identify musculoskeletal concerns and movement risks early.
• Provide movement assessments, education, consultation, and individualized care.
• Help employees address issues before they become more significant injuries.
• Understand the physical demands of different jobs and help employees move and work more effectively.
• Collaborate with managers and organizational leaders around workforce health.
• Use technology and data to identify trends and measure outcomes.
• Practice with less of the insurance-related administrative burden found in traditional healthcare settings.

This is proactive musculoskeletal care—meeting people where they are and helping them stay healthy, active, and productive.

In the Spooner Clinic

You'll continue developing as an orthopedic physical therapist while working alongside a collaborative clinical team.

You'll:

• Evaluate and treat a diverse orthopedic patient population.
• Help patients return to work, sport, recreation, and the activities that matter to them.
• Collaborate with other therapists and specialists across Spooner.
• Participate in mentorship and continuing education.
• Continue developing your skills as a movement and musculoskeletal expert.

What We're Looking For

• Licensed Physical Therapist
• Passion for orthopedic physical therapy and helping people move better
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfort working independently while remaining connected to a larger clinical team
• Curiosity about workplace health, injury prevention, and proactive musculoskeletal care
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset

Experience in occupational health or employer-based care is a plus, but not required.
