Automotive Technician PositionCAR Services is a small, independent automobile repair facility located in Ronan, Montana. We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong diagnostic and repair skills, and is committed to providing quality service to our customers.The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company quality standards. This position requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to modern vehicle technologies while delivering reliable, professional service to customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform accurate diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systemsInspect vehicles to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns and document findingsPerform repairs and maintenance including, but not limited to: engine and driveline systems, steering and suspension components, brake systems, electrical and electronic systems, HVAC systems, and preventive maintenance servicesUtilize diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and service information systems effectivelyFollow manufacturer repair procedures and company service guidelinesTest vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operationCommunicate repair needs, recommendations, and timelines to the Service Manager or AdvisorMaintain accurate repair orders, inspection reports, and documentationKeep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulationsParticipate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technologiesAssist with shop operations as needed and work collaboratively with team membersRequired Skills and Competencies:Strong mechanical and diagnostic aptitudeProficiency with modern diagnostic equipment and softwareAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagramsEffective time management and organizational skillsAttention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProfessional communication and customer-focused mindsetEducation and Experience:ASE certifications or manufacturer certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periodsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbsAbility to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperaturesTools and Equipment:Must supply basic hand tools appropriate for the positionAbility to safely operate shop equipment, lifts, and diagnostic toolsPerformance Standards:Repairs completed accurately and efficientlyMinimal comebacks and reworkAdherence to safety policies and proceduresPositive teamwork and professional conductConsistent documentation and communicationWork Schedule:Full-time positionCompensation: $20.00 - $50.00 per hourElite Network shop owners are committed to building better workplaces, not just better businesses.
