Role Description
As a Full-Stack Developer [equity only], you will have the chance to be part of an exciting QueerTech start-up that directly helps drag performers and the 2SLGBTQIA* community. Your contribution will help to propel change and open up more economic opportunities for the 2SLGBTQIA* community.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with React Native, Node.js, Python, and MySQL
- Empathy for the lived experience of others, helping to create a psychologically safe environment for underrepresented groups
- Knowledge of product development, engineering functions, processes, and procedures, including discovery, design, development, and testing
- Curious mind; enjoys deep-delling into new topics
- Proactive in identifying the root cause of bugs and issues, coming prepared with solutions
- Collaborative, but also able to work independently when needed
Requirements
- Representing the Engineering team as a team member
- Code the back and front end for the Drag Me apps (React Native, Node.js, Python, and MySQL)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data for the app; using partner APIs and data scrapers to identify events, Artists, and Venues
- Identify and solve the root cause of bugs and issues while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Continuously improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
- Be part of a cross-functional team; cross-collaboration, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude are key
- Continuously improve yourself; always ask for what you need
Benefits
- 10-40 hours per week maximum
- Monday to Thursday only (four-day workweeks!)
- Weekly 1:1 with other developers
- 0.10-0.25% equity in the company; vested over 12-24 months
