Our technicians encounter a wide range of cases, from a macaw with a broken beak to advanced operating rooms and MRI. We offer a unique experience for those who love caring for sick or injured animals in a high‑paced, renowned animal hospital. Job Purpose Provide primary point of contact through which all technical questions, comments, concerns, and issues can be handled. Decrease time spent by doctors and technical staff replicating responsibilities or missing duties by providing oversight for all technical employees in the moment. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the individuals working on any given shift to ensure their work product is excellent. Review any patient or doctor issues that arise in the moment to allow for expedient and satisfactory resolution. Assign patients to the appropriate group based upon case severity and knowledge of technical skill level of group technical employees. Update full patient census forms and patient board regularly during shift. Update Triage Board as necessary in a Triage‑Center‑in‑Certification‑Process Hospital. Ensure rounds are appropriately handled as patients are transferred from one person to the next. Act as primary person for resource management of technical staff within the Emergency Department. As assigned by the Technician Manager, train staff in any technical areas requested. Be responsible for being the primary key‑holder or Cubex resource as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of ER experience in a lead/supervisor role. Enjoy being a key player on a dynamic team providing the highest standard of patient care.
