We are building a best-in-class finance organization to support our continued growth.Job PurposeWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate data into our systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and has strong organizational skills.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to:Assists with reconciling credit card statements and other financial records to ensure accuracyAccurately enter financial data such as transactions, invoices, receipts, and payments into accounting software and spreadsheetsAssists the finance and accounting department to access, manipulate, and present information in a professional settingEnsure that financial records are complete, accurate, and up to dateVerifies that data entries match supporting documents like invoices, receipts, and bank statementsCreates and updates spreadsheets using ExcelMaintains confidentiality of sensitive informationProvides other general clerical support as neededQualificationsCandidate ProfileThe successful candidate profile includes:Proven experience in data entry or administrative role preferredExperience utilizing platforms such as NetSuite, Sage, or QuickBooks preferred but not requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially ExcelUse of formulas (SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX)Experience utilizing pivot tables, v-lookups and sort/filter functionsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesExcellent organizational skillsAt Priority Waste, there are fundamental qualities that we look for in all our employees:People who excel in a collaborative environment (team players)A willingness to do whatever the situation calls forAn excitement to be part of a growing organizationA genuine understanding that the quality of your work has a direct impact on the company's success
