Forensic Unit Registered NurseNashville General Hospital is hiring for a full-time, Day shift Registered Nurse (RN) for our Forensic Unit in Nashville, TN. This is an 18-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio.As a Forensic RN, you will be responsible for:Administering medication and treatmentsAdmitting and assessing patientsMonitoring vital signs and symptomsRunning and ordering testsCoordinating care with Physicians and SpecialistsCharting Patient ProgressRequired Skills & Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing preferred.Possess a current licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state.BLS required, ACLS preferred.Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of forensic patients ranging from adult through geriatrics.Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures, patient care procedures, and the ability to operate technical equipment as acquired through orientation.
