Principal Full-Stack Developer – Financial Markets New York City (Midtown Manhattan) – Hybrid (3 days onsite) $180,000 – $220,000 + Bonus + Benefits Our client is a specialist technology consultancy partnering with some of the world’s leading financial institutions to build bespoke enterprise platforms, trading systems, and next-generation digital products. They are currently looking for a Principal Full-Stack Developer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering modern trading and financial platforms within a front-office environment. This is a highly hands‑on IC senior engineering role combining architecture, technical leadership, and full-stack development. The position would suit someone who enjoys operating within fast-moving, technically complex enterprise environments and is comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders inside large financial services organisations. What You’ll Be Doing Leading the design and development of modern full-stack trading and financial applications Building scalable front-end platforms using React / TypeScript Developing robust backend systems using Python or C# Architecting cloud-native solutions on AWS using modern infrastructure tooling Working closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering leadership Driving technical direction, delivery quality, and engineering best practices Contributing hands‑on across architecture, coding, and production delivery What They’re Looking For 10+ years of software engineering experience Strong experience with Python or C# Strong React / TypeScript front‑end development experience Deep AWS, Docker, Terraform, and distributed systems experience Experience designing scalable enterprise‑grade applications Strong SQL and data architecture knowledge Previous experience operating within large‑scale financial services, banking, capital markets, hedge fund, asset management, or similarly complex enterprise environments is essential Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders Additional Information Hybrid working model with 3 days onsite in Manhattan Highly collaborative engineering culture Modern cloud‑native tech stack Greenfield and highly scalable platform work Existing US work authorisation required Compensation $180,000 – $220,000 base salary Bonus + full benefits package #J-18808-Ljbffr Consortia Group
