Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and developmentally suitable care to children from infancy through adolescence, closely following the directives outlined by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist in the implementation of tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing children's strength, mobility, coordination, and overall confidence in achieving physical milestones.
• Utilize creative, play-based techniques to actively engage children in therapeutic activities, making each session enjoyable and productive.
• Maintain accurate and clear documentation of each child's progress, regularly communicating findings and adjustments with the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers, providing guidance on how to effectively reinforce therapy goals within the home environment.
• Contribute to cultivating a positive and safe clinic culture that is welcoming and inclusive, benefiting all children regardless of physical abilities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on pediatric patients, engaging with children from birth through adolescence who may face various physical challenges. Through targeted interventions and empathetic communication, you will play a crucial role in facilitating their development and ensuring therapy feels less like a chore and more like play.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Active PTA license in California, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience and warmth while working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Enthusiastic about engaging with young patients and adept at adapting techniques to meet their unique needs.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in pediatric physical therapy settings is preferred, but recent graduates with pediatric clinical rotation experience are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
