Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Pay: $19.90–$27.00/hour, based on education and experience

Job Description

The Certified Medical Assistant will provide clinical support under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. The role requires a professional, caring, and patient-focused approach while maintaining confidentiality and working effectively as part of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, laboratory tests, and other procedures within the scope of MA certification.
• Assist physicians with patient examinations, including obtaining blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms and necessary supplies.
• Take and return patient phone calls as directed by the physician.
• Provide patients with instructions as directed by the physician.
• Requisition supplies and maintain adequate inventory.
• Maintain medical records, including referral forms, lab slips, and other required documentation.
• Assist patients to and from examination rooms and prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Assist with nursing procedures as directed by the physician.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team and remain flexible to support other areas as requested.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow practice policies and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of formal Medical Assistant curriculum or specialized MA training.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated Medical Assistant experience in a medical setting.
• Current Medical Assistant certification.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
