Production Technician II

Job Overview The Spartanburg II operation is a state‑of‑the‑art coffee grinding and K‑Rounds packaging start‑up facility. The site will operate on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance); leverage the principles of Lean manufacturing and harness the power of High‑Impact Teams. This includes partnering with maintenance, machine changeovers, and making minor adjustments. This role will also be engaged in the improvement of manufacturing processes for the improvement of safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture. The site will run on state‑of‑the‑art enterprise IT and manufacturing execution systems with highly automated processing and packaging. Production Technician II is responsible for maintaining and monitoring production machinery to maximize production and maintain Keurig Dr Pepper’s high standards in safety and quality. This role will also demonstrate and apply knowledge of manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture. Schedule : This is a full‑time position eventually working a 12‑hour Night Shift. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required. As the site gets up and running this year, the starting shift and schedule for the first few months will be a 4×10 Day shift schedule with rotating OT on Fridays. Responsibilities Deliver best‑in‑class performance across the balanced Scorecard. Safety Deliver upon the site safety goal of zero injuries by being a role model in communicating, demonstrating, and supporting safe behaviors. Regularly completing and/or participating in behavioral safety observations and training others on the process. Actively participate in safety meetings. Regularly conduct and/or participate in safety audits and risk reduction initiatives. Ensure 100% completion of all safety/regulatory training as it applies to you. Quality Understanding and training others on all quality control, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices, and other regulatory requirements. Production – Continuous Improvement Help foster and support a Continuous Improvement environment by identifying and addressing equipment and material issues as they occur. Partner across Maintenance and Quality organizations as you leverage the Daily Management System to drive site performance. Lead and/or support cross‑functional focused improvement initiatives to streamline material flow and improve equipment efficiency to increase capacity and reduce operating expenses. Sustain TPM‑based Production Environment Support the site TPM journey and the various implementations; mentor and teach others in the TPM process. Actively participate in various Kaizen activities at the site and assist in line and business unit implementations of improvements identified during the events. Partner with maintenance on the execution of preventative maintenance. Engage in Mini Business Unit (MBU) Structure and High‑Impact Team Model Demonstrate ability to work effectively with others. Complete all tasks in work area and contribute fair share of team’s work. Communicating the status of work during shift transitions. Demonstrate willingness to help other team members, receive and provide constructive feedback, and display a high level of cooperation across the site. Interacts respectfully and professionally with all members of the team. Benefits Pay starting at $28.25 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $29.72 per hour in the quarter after their 6‑month anniversary. Benefits eligible day one!! Requirements 2 years manufacturing experience required. Computer and software skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.) required. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Basic mathematical and mechanical skills. Ability to learn, train, and support Subject Matter Expert responsibilities for the business unit to ensure team members are performing tasks related to MES and WES transactions properly. Ability to spend significant time standing on the manufacturing floor with some frequency of computer work. Occasional domestic and international travel. Experience with material batching and CIP/COP preferred. Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds frequently without assistance.
