. This is a contract on-site position offering the opportunity to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in a collaborative clinical environment. As an Associate-level role it is well suited to physicians looking to expand their experience in cardiology while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

In this role you will deliver comprehensive cardiology care including evaluating diagnosing and managing patients with a range of cardiovascular conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered treatment plans and continuity of care. Responsibilities

• Evaluate diagnose and treat patients with cardiovascular conditions
• Perform comprehensive cardiac assessments and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for cardiology patients
• Order and review diagnostic imaging ECGs and laboratory studies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Provide consultations and referrals to appropriate specialists when needed
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed medical records
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health and disease prevention
• Adhere to clinical protocols safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Participate in case reviews and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain current licensure and stay informed on advances in cardiology

Requirements

• MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree
• Associate-level experience in cardiology or a related clinical setting
• Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology
• Strong clinical diagnostic and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in interpreting cardiac diagnostic tests
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Willingness to work on-site in Roanoke Rapids
• Availability for a contract-based engagement
• Dedication to continuous learning and professional development

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-5p specific dates

Weeknight call (5p-7a) and weekend call (7a-7a)

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Duties: Perform PCIs stent placements TEEs and NUCs; interpret echos and stress tests; provide consults and daily rounds

No STEMI or high-risk cases

Peripheral experience preferred

Support Staff: APP

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

DEA required

Paid travel & expenses
